1. Data Controller

Alchemy Zürich / Ikigai2 GmbH
Edelweissstrasse 41, 8048 Zurich, Switzerland
Email: miriam@alchemy.zuerich

2. Our Principle

Your data stays with us. For website analytics, we exclusively use our own systems, hosted in Switzerland and the EU – no Google Analytics, no external analytics tools. Personal data such as your name, email, or phone number is never shared with or sold to third parties.

3. What Data We Collect

Website Usage

To improve our website and provide you with a better experience, we collect:

  • Which pages you visit and how you got there (referrer, search terms)
  • How you interact with content (clicks, scroll behaviour, time on page)
  • Technical information about your device (screen size, browser, operating system, language, timezone)
  • Interactions with forms and videos
  • Campaign parameters from advertisements (UTM parameters)

Recognition

To show you relevant content and improve our communication, we recognise returning visits. For this, we store an anonymous identifier on your device. This is initially not linked to your identity.

Data You Provide

When you fill in a form, send an enquiry, or book an appointment, we collect the information you enter – typically your name, email address, and your message. We use this data exclusively to process your request and communicate with you.

4. Why We Collect Data

  • Website optimisation: We understand which content is helpful and where improvements are needed.
  • Better communication: When you contact us, we can give you more relevant and helpful responses.
  • Quality assurance: We identify technical issues before they affect many visitors.
  • Contract fulfilment: To process enquiries and orders.

5. Our Technology

We use Alchemy Labs, our own platform for analytics and client communication. It is operated in Switzerland and the EU and is subject to the Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG) and the GDPR.

Because we run our own infrastructure, we have complete control over data processing. No personal data flows to third-party analytics providers.

Advertising Platforms

For targeted advertising, we use services from Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram Ads). We only share technical signals with these platforms – such as whether a page was visited or a form was submitted. No personal data like your name, email, or phone number is shared with these services. These signals help us show you relevant content and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns.

6. Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on servers in Switzerland and the EU. Anonymous usage data is automatically deleted after 12 months. Personal data (e.g. from forms) is retained as long as necessary for the business relationship and deleted thereafter.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal local storage (localStorage) to save your anonymous identifier and session information. This serves the functionality of the website and the improvement of your experience. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Embedded Content

Our website may contain embedded forms and booking systems from Alchemy Labs (labs.alchemy.zuerich and opus.alchemy.zuerich). These are part of our own infrastructure and are subject to this same privacy policy.

9. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • Access: Find out what data we have stored about you.
  • Rectification: Have incorrect data corrected.
  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal data.
  • Objection: Object to data processing for specific purposes.
  • Data portability: Receive your data in a common format.

Contact us at miriam@alchemy.zuerich – we will respond within 30 days.

10. Legal Basis

Data processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimising our website and services (Art. 31 para. 1 nDSG), as well as on your consent when submitting personal data via forms (Art. 6 para. 6 nDSG).

11. Supervisory Authority

The competent supervisory authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland.

12. Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed. The current version is always available on this page.
